According to media reports, Italy-based company Lambretta bring the G325 special electric scooter to India at Auto Expo 2020. The scooter made its public debut in Milan at Esposizione Internazionale Ciclo Motociclo e Accessori (EICMA) this year. The scooter is presently under development in Milan as per the reports.
To make its way back to India, the company has joined hands with two Indian companies, Lohia Auto and the Bird Group. Media reports have also claimed that the company is evaluating on opening an assembly facility in Maharashtra. This facility will help meet Indian demands as well as cater as an export hub for the company’s two-wheelers to neighbouring countries and Africa.
Hydrogen fuel technology
The reports say that the company will not be only focusing on the usual EV technology. They also mention that the company is not only working on electric scooters and bikes but also investing in hydrogen fuel technology.
