Ring Door View CamRing has launched its fifth video doorbell Ring Door View Cam in UAE. The company plans to sell the doorbell for AED 699 through Amazon, Dubai duty free, Jumbo, Sharaf DG and Virgin megastore.
Ring says that the doorbell offers a wire free video doorbell system that transforms a traditional door viewer into a smart security device. The company also says, “Ring Door View Cam features motion detection, two-way talk, 1080p HD video, a removable, rechargeable battery, knock detection, privacy zones, and night vision, making it perfect for any home with a door viewer – especially apartments and rentals.” Customers can view live video and recordings of their front door in HD mode.
Suitable for apartments and rentals
The company has taken learnings from Ring Video doorbell and built this one after understanding that people interact with doors and doorbells at apartment buildings and rentals differently than they do at single-family homes.
Ring claims that the doorbell comes with Alexa compatibility. One can select Alexa-enabled devices to “show me my front door,” and be alerted when motion is detected by Ring Door View Cam in real time. One can also speak with visitors through Echo show, Echo spot and Fire tablets with Alexa tablets.
Knock detection
The company claims that the doorbell come with knock detection where even if a visitor does not press the doorbell button, the sensor on the Door View Cam lets one know when visitors interact with the door such as if they knock. The Door View cam allows one to block recording of certain zones in front of the doorbell and turn off audio recording to make sure one only receives notifications that matter.
