Samsung Shuts All Stores in US and Canada, No Word Yet on India

• Only Samsung Repair Centres will be open in Canada and repaired devices will be sent back via courier
• Apple has also announced that it will be shutting all its stores except those in Greater China till 27th March

In order to check the spread of Coronavirus, Samsung has shut down all Samsung stores in the US and Canada. Only Samsung Repair Centres will be open in Canada and repaired devices will be sent back via courier. There is no information as to whether Samsung stores in India will be shut down or not.

Samsung said in a statement, “As the situation with COVID-19 continues to evolve we want to assure you that the health and safety of our employees, customers, and partners is our top priority at Samsung Canada. In an effort to protect our community, customers, and employees, we will be closing Samsung Experience Stores across Canada, effective immediately.”

Apple also shuts stores

Apple has also announced that it will be shutting all its stores except those in Greater China till 27th March. In a statement titled “Apple’s COVID-19 response, Tim Cook, Apple CEO said, “We will be closing all of our retail stores outside of Greater China until March 27. We are committed to providing exceptional service to our customers.”
