Seog-gi Kim, EVP, Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics, said, ““Throughout the last twelve months, we’ve closely monitored interior design and technology trends to shape the product planning and development of The Wall Luxury. We set out to create a product unlike anything else – matching the lifestyle and taste of those looking for the most exclusive and premium visual experiences in their homes.”
Interestingly, Samsung had recently launched 8K TVs in India. The company is using upscaler technology to convert 4K into 8K quality.
Luxury version of the The Wall TV
Samsung said that it is introducing a luxury version of The Wall TV. The Wall Luxury is configurable and customizable to a variety of sizes and ratios from 73-inch in 2K definition, to 292-inch in 8K definition. Company’s official statement read, “With a depth less than 30mm, the slim, bezel-less infinity design along with customizable décor frames allows the display to blend seamlessly into its surroundings, ensuring no disruption to the desired ambience of its environment.”
It continued, “Thanks to the 100,000-hour lifetime of its self-emitting diodes, The Wall is designed to never turn off, but to change into a digital canvas best matching the owner`s interior needs and personal mood. When the screen is not used, the Ambient Mode can display a variety of curated art from paintings, photographs and video art to customizable pictures with digital frames – that best suit the homeowner’s tastes.”
The company will start retailing the TV starting July 2019 globally. Other three products showcased by Samsung at the show include MagicINFO, 65-inch Digital Flipchart and QLED 8K Signage
