Sharp Launches Three New Smartphones

Electronics products manufacturer Sharp has launched three smartphones Sharp Aquos Zero 2, Sharp Aquos Sense 3 Plus and Sharp Aquos Sense 3. The company claims that the Sharp Aquos Zero 2 will be the first smartphone in the world to feature a 240Hz refresh rate.

Sharp had recently launched a series of home appliances for the Indian market. The company plans to strengthen its presence in the home appliances and air purification segment in India with these launches. The ranges of smart home appliances include twin cooker, superheated steam oven, air purifiers and bread maker.

Kishlay Ray, president, Sharp India, recently told EFY Group, “We at Sharp are working towards fulfilling our Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s goal of making India fit and healthy. In line with the same, we have introduced products in the kitchen appliances category that promote healthy cooking. All these kitchen appliances focus on saving time and promote healthy cooking in India.”

The company this year onward will start focusing on omni-channel strategy in India. Kishlay Ray also said that Sharp India will reach consumers via all channels here. The company is aiming to achieve revenues of Rs 70 crores from festive sales in 2019.

Features of the phones launched

The Sharp Aquos Zero 2 features a 240Hz refresh rate with a 6.4inch HD+ OLED display and a screen resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels. The company plans to retail the phone in Japan from December. It comes in astro black and misty white colour options.

The phone is also equipped with an octo core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor along with Adreno 640 GPU. It has 8GB internal RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It comes with dual camera 12.2-megapixel primary lens with f/1.7 aperture, OIS and a 20-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with 125-degree FOV. It also features an 8-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calling. The company says that the phone is backed by a 3,130mAh battery with parallel charging support.

The Aquos Sense 3 Plus comes with a 6-inch full HD+ IGZO LCD display and a screen resolution of 2220 x 1080 pixels.  It is backed by a 6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage. The phone is equipped by a dual-camera setup with 12.2-megapixel primary camera with a 13.1-megapixel with 123-degree FOV. The front camera comes with an 8-megapixel shooter with an f/2.2 aperture.

The Sharp Aquos Sense 3 is equipped with a 5.5-inch full HD+ IGZO LCD display with a screen resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. It is backed by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The phone comes with dual camera of 12-megapixel primary lens with f/2.0 aperture and a 12-megapixel wide-angle lens. It also comes with an 8-megapixel selfie shooter. The phone runs on Android 9.0 Pie and it is backed by a 4000mAh battery.
