Smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi has announced a smart bed called 8HMilan smart electric bed. It has been developed by Chengdu Fun Sleep Technology Co. Ltd which is a Xiaomi ecological chain enterprise.
The product starts crowdfunding on 3rd December for a a price of 1999 Yuan ( approx Rs 20,352). Xiaomi says that the smart bed is controlled through button and voice controls. It can make the smart bed lift up slowly to the desired angle of the user. The bed comes equipped with with a dual-motor mechanism that can let users control both the upper and lower half of the bed independently. The back of the bed is adjustable from 0 to up to 60 degrees and the legs are able to rise up to 30 degrees.
Five preloaded modes
The bed comes with five preloaded modes. The modes are flat mode, anti-snore mode, reading mode, TV mode and a zero-gravity mode claims Xiaomi. The company says the bed is made from high-strength glass fibre and alloy steel frame. It claims that a single frame can support up to 75kg and the whole bed can support up to 1000kg.
