BBK’s Smartphone Brand Takes Unique Route For World Cup Advertising

BBK owned Oppo has released a song themed around the ongoing cricket world cup in India. Titled ‘Jeet pae apna haq hai‘ this song, as per Oppo team is dedicated to cricket fans in India. Interestingly, Oppo says that this song has been created using fans’ heartbeats.

Charles Wong, CEO, Oppo India said, “Our experience in India has given us a deep understanding of the passion every Indian possesses for cricket. Therefore, we wanted to create a property that will help us connect the fans with Team India and inspire them to continue their winning streak. We hope that our heartbeat song resonates with the emotion of the billions of fans around the world and charges Team India to victory.”

Oppo is sponsor of many sporting events

Oppo, apart from being associated with BCCI as team India’s official sponsors, is also associated as a sponsor for many big ticket sports events around the world. The company, in April 2019, had announced about being associated with Wimbledon Championships as official sponsors.

Brian Shen, VP, Oppo, had said, “We are thrilled to announce we are the first Asian partner of The Championships, Wimbledon. The Championships have a strong synergy with our brand values of prioritizing innovation and design in our products. We are confident this partnership will further strengthen our expansion plans across the European marketplace and in turn our communication globally.”

Similary, the company has also signed a collaboration agreement with French Tennis Federation as well. As a matter of fact, Oppo has also started retailing its Reno smartphone series in Europe.

Brian Shen, had earlier shared, “Our partnership with Roland-Garros echoes a shared vision and plays a key role in Oppo’s effort to build deeper connections with our users and engage with a wider demographic across Europe.”

Oppo has been a sponsor of PubG online game in the past as well. Wong said, “Our association with the BCCI and ICC World Cup demonstrates our unwavering focus on connecting with our consumers in India and globally. We will continue to create such engaging experiences for our consumers along with our phenomenal products.”
