- Ranveer was/is also brand ambassador of Samsung’s rival in the smartphone space – Xiaomi
JBL has announced the signing up of Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh as its brand ambassador in India. Producer and philanthropist Priyanka Chopra, world-renowned pianist, educator and philanthropist AR Rahman, Indian badminton’s golden girl, PV Sindhu, American multi-platinum performing artist Demi Lovato and prolific musician, producer and humanitarian Quincy Jones, have all been associated with Harman as brand amabassadors.
“No-one can represent the true spirit and energy of JBL better than Ranveer Singh,” said Pradeep Chaudhry, country manager, Harman India. He added, “His captivating personality, contagious drive, and incredible talent make him a true JBL ambassador. Apart from being a powerhouse of acting, Ranveer is contributing to the music ecosystem in India and we can’t wait to take this collaboration to the next level.”

Interestingly, the actor has also been associated with Xiaomi in India. Ranveer Singh, earlier this year had signed up with Xiaomi as its brand ambassador. Xiaomi’s first branding campaign involving Ranveer Singh was for the Note 7 smartphone.
It is also to be noted here that Ranveer’s wife, Deepika Padukone, has been seen promoting Oppo smartphones in various TV commercials in the past. Aamir Khan, another Bollywood superstar, is the brand ambassador for Vivo smartphones in India.

I’ve grown up listening to the signature sound of JBL and nothing else sounds sweeter,” commented Ranveer Singh, while announcing the partnership. JBL’s official statement read, “Taking the energy and sound of JBL even higher, Ranveer will endorse an exciting new range of JBL’s consumer audio products in the coming months. Singh will also participate in a series of marketing initiatives to further strengthen JBL’s dominance in the country.”
