Flipkart’s Private Label Launches 2019 Range of ACs in India

Flipkart’s private consumer electronics label MarQ has announced the launch of Insignia series of air-conditioners (AC) in India. MarQ is retailing its new AC range at a starting price of Rs 25,999 in the country. MarQ Insignia ACs were launched in 1.2-tonne and 1.5-tonne variants with BEE (Bureau of energy efficiency) standards of three and five stars.

Adarsh Menon, VP, Private Labels, Electronics, Furniture, at Flipkart, said, “With the Insignia range, customers will have access to ACs with sleek design & the latest technology, at very compelling prices. We will continue to listen to our customers on what they need and desire, and will continue to expand our product range to best serve them.”

Interestingly, almost every major brand has also launched its 2019 range of ACs during the last two months in India. It is worth mentioning here that March to August period every year is generally seen as the peak AC business season in India. Lloyd’s ex CEO has also recently launched a new brand of ACs in the country.

MarQ Insignia AC features

MarQ’s AC portfolio in India, now includes 15 different models. Flipkart had launched the MarQ AC range in India in 2018. This new range of ACs, as per the company, features condensers made with 100 per cent copper. However, there is no mention of smart features in the ACs.

The company said that the equipped golden fin evaporator prevents corrosion. The Insignia range of AC, as per MarQ, features self-diagnosis technology. These AC can also clean themselves using a four-stage cleaning process.

Menon added, “MarQ by Flipkart aims to address the Indian customer’s specific and varied needs, while making the latest and best technology accessible to them at affordable prices. We have witnessed a growing trend among consumers looking for energy efficient and aesthetically pleasing ACs.”
