The company claims that its inverter ACs are priced lower than the regular fixed speed ACs.

Sanyo, Panasonic’s online brand, has forayed into the air conditioner segment and launched a lineup of inverter air conditioners(AC) in the country. The new Sanyo inverter AC range has five models in three and five star ratings and comes in one, 1.5 and two ton variants. Sanyo has partnered with Amazon to retail these ACs in India.

Sarthak Seth, Business Head – Sanyo, Panasonic India, said, “We are delighted to introduce the new range of Sanyo inverter ACs for Indian consumers. This is an inverter only AC range as our research has shown that energy efficiency is a key deciding parameter in India while buying air conditioners.”

It is to be noted here that almost every consumer electronics company has introduced inverter ACs in India in 2019. All these companies are making the same claim that inverter ACs consume less power then conventional ACs.

Sanyo has  launched these ACs at a starting price of Rs 24,490. Seth added, “Consumers can now purchase Sanyo Inverter AC at a price which is even lower than that of a regular fixed speed AC.” The company had entered India in 2016 and had started retailing TVs through online channels.

Sanyo AC features

The new ACs by Sanyo are equipped with glacier mode settings that the company claims allows 35 per cent higher fan speed. Sanyo’s official statement read, “The auto restart function automatically saves the original settings in order to avoid any hassles of doing the settings again.”

It continued, “The self-diagnosis mechanism prompts errors on the display area unit for easy trouble shooting. The remote control design extends maximum comfort and has features, such as glow in the dark temperature control and power on and off buttons for easy operation.”

Sanyo has also equipped the ACs with PM 2.5 air-purification system. The Panasonic owned brand is also saying that it has equipped the new inverter AC range with 100 per cent copper condensers.
