SHARP DW-E16FA-WSHARP has introduced two new air purifier cum de-humidifiers, designed specifically for India’s humid climate. SHARP DW-J20FM-W and DW-E16FA-W are priced at Rs 40,000 and Rs 35,000 respectively.
These air purifiers help in reducing and maintaining the level of humidity in the air while eliminating musty odour, a company statement said.
These products also prevent growth of mild dew by extracting water from the air to facilitate a healthy and comfortable environment, it added.
Laundry Mode and Other Interesting Features
Both models come with SHARP’s Plasmacluster ion generator technology, which eliminates airborne mold, viruses and bacteria. They are equipped with a HEPA Filter to remove PM 2.5 particles, activated charcoal filter to remove smoke and chemical fumes and a mesh-type pre-filter for larger particles.
The laundry drying feature can help deodorize room-dried laundry with high concentration Plasmacluster ions, according to the brand.
They are also capable of working on home inverters during power cuts, and come with features like child lock, dust and light sensor and tank full indicator.
The only difference SHARP DW-J20FM-W has over DW-E16FA-W is in terms of coverage area, weight, filter life, dehumidifying capacity, power consumption and operation time.

The air purifiers are being made available through offline sales and distribution networks across India with a one-year onsite warranty.
SHARP said that it will ensure the availability of spares and consumables for a period of five years after the model is discontinued in India.
