- This is the third variant of air purifier Xiaomi is selling in India
- Xiaomi says the purifier helps in filtering 99.7 per cent indoor pollution
Ahead of the winter season when pollution level in the Indian cities increase, Xiaomi has launched Mi Air Purifier 2C in India. It will sell the air purifier for Rs 6,499 from 16th October through its online site and make it available for sale on Amazon and Flipkart and Mi Home stores from 18th October.

Manu Kumar Jain, MD, Xiaomi India announced during the launch that the air purifier has been designed in India for the local market. Xiaomi already sells two other variants of air purifiers – the Mi Air Purifier 2 and Mi Air Purifier 2S in India.
As per Xiaomi, the air purifier comes with dual filtration technology and true High Efficiency Particulate Air ( HEPA) filter. It claims this will help in filtering 99.7 per cent indoor pollution. The dust filtration technology captures dust, particles, floccules and both human and animal hair.
Cover an area of 452 square feet
The air purifier comes with 360-degree air suction, Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) of 350 metre cube per hour. As per Xiaomi, the air purifier can cover an area of 452 square feet. It will give a real-time air quality indicator and Do It Yourself (DIY) filter change according to the company. The purifier has a voltage capacity of 100-240 V and a rated frequency of 50/60 Hz.
The air purifier also comes with an infrared sensor that can detect pollution levels inside the home says Xiaomi. The sensor can give indications like clean air, minimal pollution level or severe pollution level in the home. The air purifier weighs about 4.1 kg and measures 240 mm x 240 mm x 520 mm.
