Asus announced the CX1101 Chromebook in India On Monday, December 13th, 2021. The CX1101 joins the Chromebook Flip C214, Chromebook C223, Chromebook C423, and Chromebook C523 models that were released earlier this year, providing purchasers with yet another economical Chrome OS based entry level laptop for education, schools, and other uses. It’s part of Asus’ larger plan to democratise India’s educational landscape.

The Chromebook CX1101 has a starting price of just around Rs 20,000. Despite its low price, this laptop has a number of useful features, such as USB Type-C fast charging and a robust design—both of which are hard to come by in inexpensive Windows laptops. Even even mid-range Windows laptops can’t do it all of the time.

The Asus Chromebook CX1101 was released in India at a price of Rs 19,999, but it will be available at a discounted price of Rs 18,990 for a limited time, from December 15 to December 21. Flipkart will begin selling the Chromebook CX1101 on December 15.

The Chromebook CX1101 features a 180-degree hinge and MIL-STD-810H certification for military-grade durability. It has a spill-resistant keyboard with a 10-million-keystroke lifespan, according to Asus. The CX1101 features an 11.6-inch 16:9 HD display, a dual-core Intel Celeron N4020 processor, 4GB LPDDR4 RAM, and 64GB eMMC 5.1 storage that can be expanded by up to 2TB through a microSD card slot. The laptop’s 42Wh battery is rated to provide up to 13 hours of use on a single charge. It’s powered by USB Type-C.

The CX1101 has two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C ports, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, and an audio combo connector for connectivity. It has dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.1 compatibility. Dual speakers and a 720p webcam complete the bundle.
