AQ-Fit technology, with the launch of AQ-Fit A8 neckband, has forayed into the smart hearables segment in India. The company has priced this smart neckband at Rs 1,299 here. The consumer electronics startup said that it is retailing this neckband Amazon, Fipkart, Snapdeal, Shopclues, Paytm and large format retailers in the country.

The market for wearable devices is on track to reach global shipments of 222.9 million units in 2019, growing to 302.3 million units in 2023 with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7.9 per cent, according to a new forecast from International Data Corporation (IDC) Worldwide Quarterly Wearable Device Tracker. Behind that growth is the propagation of smartwatches and ear-worn devices, which will account for more than 70 per cent of all wearable shipments by 2023.
CSR 8635 chipset
These latest neckband earphones from AQ-Fit feature CSR 8635 chipset and are powered by Bluetooth V4.1. AQ-Fit said that the 150 mAh battery can power this Bluetooth headphone for up to 12 hours. This battery, as per the company, can be charged in two hours time.
AQ-Fit’s official statement read, “The headphones come with the comfort of the ergonomic ear-tips, snug fit ear hooks and neckband design that ensures comfortable listening for long duration. Headphone is IPX5 sweat proof and a come equipped with CSR 8635 chipset.”
It continued, “The headphones are ideal for hassle-free hands free calling and are compatible with all the devices. Magnetic buds ensure that the headphones aren’t dangling when not in use. They have a battery life of 12 hours and quickly charge in two hours.”
This consumer electronics startup is already retailing smart bands and smart watches. AQ-Fit had also launched a car air purifier in India recently. The company has its corporate office, R&D, designing, manufacturing and marketing departments in Noida, UP.
