HyperX, the gaming division of Kingston Technology Company Inc has launched HyperX Cloud Alpha TM S gaming headset in India. The company will sell the newly launched headset through both online and offline channels at a price of Rs 13, 200.
The company says that the headset comes with custom-tuned HyperX virtual 7.1 surround sound and bass adjustment sliders for three levels of bass fine-tuning. An official statement from HyperX said, “The Cloud Alpha S marries stunning 7.1 surround sound with the same top-notch aesthetics and comfort as the original HyperX Cloud Alpha. With these new enhancements, HyperX is expanding its line of Gaming headsets to meet the needs of a range of gamers at all levels.”
Dual chamber technology
The company says that the headset comes with dual chamber technology that separates bass frequencies from the mids and highs for more accurate audio. The custom-tuned HyperX virtual 7.1 surround sound with an advanced audio control mixer feature enables surround sound and the ability to adjust the mix between game and chat audio according to HyperX.
Microphone is bi-directional and noise cancelling
The headphones come with 50mm with neodymium magnets, frequency response of 13Hz – 27kHz and impedance of 65 Ω. The sound pressure level on the headphones is 99dBSPL/mW at 1kHz. The weight of the headset comes to 310g and 321g with the microphone. The connection type on the headset is 3.5mm plug (4 pole). The polar pattern on the microphone is bi-directional and noise cancelling according to HyperX. The frequency response on the microphone is 50Hz – 18kHz. The USB audio control mixer weighs 57g with a 2m cable length.
