- Microsoft says that the Surface earbud allows screen free integration with Office 365

Along with a handful of products launched at the Surface event by Microsoft in New York like Surface Pro 7, Surface Laptop 3, Surface Pro X, Surface Neo and Duo, the tech giant also launched the Surface earbuds. The company plans to sell the earbuds at earbuds at $249 (17,650 approx).
Voice control for music, calls
The official statement from Microsoft said, “Surface Earbuds offer intuitive touch and voice controls for music, calls and more. Experience rich, immersive Omnisonic sound, and instantly play Spotify from your Android phone with a triple tap on either earbud.” Microsoft also claims that the earbud allows screen free integration with Office 365 that will let one access Outlook calendar and email with one’s own voice (in the US). The user can also get live, on screen captions and translations in PowerPoint. The buds will also come with a wireless charging case.
Echo earbuds launched
Amazon has also entered the headphone space by launching Echo earbuds recently. The wireless earbuds work with Alexa and feature Bose technology for noise reduction according to Amazon. Amazon plans to sell the earbuds at $129 (Rs 9,147approx). The Echo earbuds work like any other Alexa device.
The earbuds come with three microphones and two armature drivers for sound with sensors that pause playback automatically when one takes them out. The buds come with tap gestures like double tap to toggle the noise reduction property incorporated in it to hear the outside world more clearly. Amazon says that the earbuds are rated with IPX4 against splashes, sweat, or light rain.
Amazon also claimed that the earbuds would offer five hours of battery from a single charge with up to 20 hours in total including the case.
