Fujifilm India Launches New Camera in the X Series

  • Fuji says that the camera is 40 per cent lighter than an equivalent lens
  • The company says that zoom on the camera is ideal for night or indoor

Photography and imaging company Fujifilm India has launched digital camera Fujinon XF16-80mmF4 R OIS WR in the X series range of cameras in India. The new interchangeable lens comes with maximum aperture value of F4 throughout the focal length of 16-80mm and minimum shooting distance of 35cm. The lens comes with a 5x zoom and weighs 440g and 88.9mm in length.

Fujifilm with GK Vale had recently launched a new photo and brand experience concept store in Bengaluru. The company is aiming to open 20 such experience stores in India.

Features of the camera

According to Fuji, Fujinon XF16-80mmF4 R OIS WR is 40 per cent lighter than an equivalent lens for 35mm format system. The zoom on the camera comes with 6.0 stops OIS feature that will allow shooting in a variety of situations like night scene or indoors without worrying about the camera shake according to the official statement by the company.

The camera features metal designs on the exterior. The company says that the zoom, aperture and focus rings have been designed for optimum handling and user comfort. The lens also comes with dust and weather resistant, and operates at temperatures as low as -10°C.
