GoPro has launched two new cameras GoPro Hero 8 black and Max action globally. GoPro plans to sell the GoPro Hero 8 Black at Rs 36,500 and the Max action at Rs 47,000 in India. The company will sell them at select retail partner stores globally from 20th October while it is already taking pre orders at GoPro.com. GoPro says it will start shipping its Hero 8 Black camera from 15th October and GoPro Max from 24th October.
Three modular add-ons
The company also launched three modular add-ons for the cameras – Media Mod, the Display Mod and the ‘Light Mod’ cost $79.99(Rs 5690 approx), $79.99( Rs5690 approx) and $49.99 ( Rs 3555 approx) respectively.

HyperSmooth 2.0 video stabilization
GoPro claims the Hero 8 black is equipped with HyperSmooth 2.0 video stabilization which features improved stabilization over HyperSmooth 1.0. It provides improved baseline performance and works in all resolutions and frame rates claims the company.
GoPro’s official statement says, “ The Hero 8 black has four digital lenses to make it easy to choose a desired field of view, improved audio performance with enhanced wind suppression, new customizable mode presets and a 14 per cent lighter, frameless design that features folding mounting fingers for improved simplicity and convenience.”
Waterproofing of up to 16 feet
The company claims GoPro Max comes with waterproofing of up to 16 feet. It can be used as a single lens max stabilized Hero camera and a dual-lens 360 camera according to the company. GoPro Max action camera is equipped with built-in GPS as well. GoPro says that Max has a colour display on one side.
The official statement from GoPro says, “MAX also features four digital lenses, including the new ultra-wide Max SuperView—GoPro’s widest field of view, ever. Additional features include in-camera 360 video and photo stitching plus ultra quick and convenient keyframe-based editing of 360 content in the GoPro app.”
