Sony has launched the Cyber-shot RX100 VII camera in India. The company will sell the camera for Rs 96,990 from 21st October across Sony flagship retail stores, online stores and authorised dealers across the country. The camera was originally unveiled in July.
Hiroyuki Tokuno, head of digital imaging division, Sony India said, “The RX100 VII sets new standards for both photography and videography in a compact camera and we are confident that its phenomenal speed and AF capabilities will be very well received by customers. Users will feel the reassurance that they have the power of an Alpha 9 in their pocket, in compact form, so they can trust this camera in any given situation.”
Bionz X image processor
Sony claims the camera comes with a one-inch stacked 20.1-megapixel CMOS sensor and Bionz X image processor. The camera has A9-level speed performance with up to 60 AF/AE calculation per second and 20 fps burst shooting with AF/AE tracking and no blackouts as per Sony. It also has real-time tracking and AF with Eye AF for humans and animals. It uses 24-200mm zoom lens with an aperture range of f/2.8-4.5.
As per Sony, the camera has a 180-degree flip screen that will be helpful for vlogging. The camera has a 3.5mm microphone jack that would help the bloggers further. It also has 90fps burst shooting that will let the user save only seven still images and the higher capture rate will help take better candid shots says Sony.
Built- in WiFi
The camera supports 4K video, S-Log 3, and HDR. It also has a retractable electronic viewfinder (EVF). On the connectivity side, it has built- in WiFi and supports Bluetooth. The camera weighs about 302 grams.
