Fastrack has unveiled Reflex WAV, a gesture control smart band, which it claims, is the world’s slimmest band with 9 mm thickness. The Titan company’s youth focused brand is planning to gain a large part of the market share in the smart wearable devices segment of India.
Blend of tech and design
Somprabh Singh, Business Head, Wearables, Titan Company Limited said that the Reflex WAV band was a combination of innovation, technology and design. Fastrack has integrated the band in a charcoal black shade with smart features and ergonomic design. It is betting on Reflex WAV as there are a few smart bands that offer gesture control with features that allow the user to change music, click pictures, reject calls, scroll notifications and control the smartphone camera by simply twisting the wrist.

Priced at Rs. 4,995, the Reflex WAV has a range of features such as activity tracker, 24-hour active sleep tracking, scrolling notifications, calendar alerts and IP67 water resistance. It also has a feature to alert the user of the lack of activity for a certain period of time. Additionally, the smart band can provide weather updates and can be paired with the Reflex Wav app over Android and iOS to avail all the functions. Fastrack has powered the product with Qualcomm CSR1010 chipset and featured it with an OLED display.
S Ravi Kant, CEO, Watches and Accessories, Titan Company Ltd says that Fastrack is aiming to gain a large part of the estimated 2 million smart band sales in India. He said that the global smart wearables market would reach $21 billion with 200 million units by 2021 and among these, fitness bands would form 30-40 per cent.
Fastrack, reportedly, has sold about half-a-million units of its Reflex smart bands in India since its launch in April 2017.
