Huawei has announced the launch of Y9 2019 Smartphone at a price of Rs 15,990 in India. The latest Huawei smartphone sports a notched 6.5-inch Huawei FullView display and a 4000 mAh battery.
This is the first Huawei smartphone launch in India this year. Huawei had recently claimed of shipping more than 400 million smartphone units under Huawei and Honor brands.

Tough competition
Huawei Y9 2019 will be facing tough competition from the likes of Redmi 6 Note Pro, Realme 2 Pro and Nokia 6.1 Plus in India. All these smartphones are priced in the same Rs 14,000 to 16,000 category in India.

Huawei’s official statement read, “HUAWEI Y9 2019 also brings various attentive smart features, including Fingerprint 4.0 identification technology, massive extended storage and Simple Mode for elderly users, offering more convenience and smarter lifestyle. Y9 2019 supports Talk Easy function, which intelligently identifies background noise to evaluate users’ surrounding environment and scenario.”
Huawei Y9 2019 features
Huawei Y9 2019 features a 6.5-ich Notched FullView Display, a 16.70 million color IPS LCD with the contrast ratio of 1500:1, and 2340 x 1080 resolution with 397 PPI. Huawei is claiming that the Eye Comfort Mode reduces harmful blue light and digital strain. It comes equipped with a 4000 mAh battery and a 12nm Kirin 710 chipset.
The China-based smartphone brand has equipped Y9 2019 with dual camera setups, both on the front and rear. Front camera setup on Huawei Y9 2019 consists of 16MP+2MP dual cameras, while the rear camera setup has 13MP+2MP dual cameras. Gesture Control and unique filters are some of the other features that Huawei has equipped these camera setups with.
Huawei’s official statement read, “It integrates AI machine learning algorithm, which creates 21 different category labels and helps to select the optimized background and adjusts all the parameters after analysing the scene (up to 500+ scenarios). HUAWEI Y9 2019 also features AI stabilization and Hand-held Night Mode to support up to 6 seconds long exposure, to capture all the details and adjust the brightness in the low-light environment.”
