Syska has launched anti- bacterial Bactiglow SSK-BAB-9W light emitting diode (LED) bulb in India. The company has priced the bulb at Rs 250 and will be selling it at retail stores across the country. It is also providing a warranty of one year on the bulb.
The company claims that the bulb comes with microbial disinfection properties that electrocute harmful bacteria present in a room. It emits light in the wavelength of 400 nm to 420 nm which is safe for human exposure. It also says that the bulb comes in a two-in -one mode where the user can choose from either a lighting plus anti-bacterial mode or the anti-bacterial mode.

Indoor use
Syska says the bulb is designed for indoor use and can be installed in schools, colleges, commercial spaces and at homes. The bulb does not emit any ultra-violet or infra-red radiations and it is safe for human exposure and is photo biologically safe as per the company.
Electrocute harmful germs and bacteria
Syska claims that the bulb has proven efficacy in electrocuting Aspergillus Niger, Bacillus cerus, Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aurus, yeast, molds and other harmful germs and bacteria. The bulb can fit into socket the users use for regular light bulbs. The bulb also comes equipped with 810 degree lumens to give bright light which covers a large area says Syska.
