Goldmedal Festive Light RollsGoldmedal Electricals, a home-grown fast moving electrical goods (FMEG) company has launched the Photon rope light in its lighting segment, for the ongoing festive season in India. Photon, as per the company, uses LEDs and therefore consumes lesser energy and generates lesser heat than average incandescent rope lights.
Kishan Jain, director, Goldmedal Electricals said, “With the onset of the festive season, we wanted to provide a smart and long-lasting solution for the festive décor needs of our customers. Festive lights market highly unorganised
It is to be noted here that the festive season lights market in India is highly unorganised. Local retailers usually sale festive lights imported from China. While these lights do not usually last more than a season of two, consumers most likely prefer these because of low costs involved. However, now with a big name like Goldmedal Eelctricals officially launching such lights in India, the market may soon see more such launches.
It is also to be noted here that while a consumer generally does not but more than 20 metres of a light rope, this latest 100 m festive light roll may attract a lot of dealers and retailers. The company also recently launched a range of LED lights, smart home devices like the i-Touch Wi-Fi Switches and the smart i-Dock music player. Goldmedal offers a wide range of modular switches and accessories, home automation systems, wires and cables, doorbells, PVC pipes, DBs, MCBs & others.
IP65 rating
Goldmedal said these festive lights are IP65 rated, shock resistant and available in single as well as multi-coloured units. The company is also retailing these in 10 m length rolls.
Company’s official statement read, “The Photon rope light is a smart lighting option for decorative use and is easy and safe to use. With this launch, Goldmedal is offering the best in technology and design for both indoor and outdoor decorative use.”
It continued, “Goldmedal’s Photon rope light is a smarter lighting option that can be used in a variety of different environments. Unlike strip lights, the Photon rope light doesn’t require a separate AC-to-DC converter and can thus be connected directly to the power source with the provided connector. With an IP 65 rating, Photon is dust and water resistant, which makes it ideal for both indoor and outdoor decorations.”
