Sharp has launched a series of smart home appliances for the India market. With these launches, the company intends to strengthen its presence in the home appliances and air purification segment here. The ranges of smart home appliances include twin cooker, superheated steam oven, air purifiers and bread maker.
Kishlay Ray, president, Sharp India, recently told EFY Group, “We at Sharp are working towards fulfilling our Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s goal of making India fit and healthy. In line with the same, we have introduced products in the kitchen appliances category that promote healthy cooking. All these kitchen appliances focus on saving time and promote healthy cooking in India.”
The company this year onward will start focusing on omni-channel strategy in India. Kishlay Ray shared that Sharp India will reach consumers via all channels here. The company is aiming to achieve revenues of Rs 70 crores from festive sales in 2019.
New Sharp products
Healsio Superheated Oven: Sharp Healsio, as per the company, combines the convenience and efficiency of a microwave, the versatility of convection oven, and the unique technology of superheated steam to help you enjoy the joys of cooking, without affecting flavour or nutrition.
Bread Maker: This latest fully automatic product, as per Sharp, can help in making different types of dough from traditional Indian Roti to French bread and is fully automatic. Sharp bread maker boasts of an LCD control display screen with 12 Program Menus making it a one of a kind product in its category.
The company is retailing Healsio Superheated Oven at a price of Rs 64,000 in India. Sharp bread maker has been launched at Rs 12,900. The company has announced its twin cooker at an asking price of Rs 12,000.
Sharp’s official statement read, “In-line with maximizing customer satisfaction and expanding the product offering of the flagship products, Sharp has announced its latest series of consumer products. The brand envisages focusing on premium products, prompt customer services, and offering superior products via partners. With the launch, SHARP wishes to bring in a sense of joy and interest to the Indian consumers.”
