TCL to Launch Complete Range of Home Appliances in India in April

TCL has revealed its plans of unveiling a complete range of intelligent home appliances in India. The company is reportedly launching ACs, Washing Machines, Refrigerators, Sound Bars, in addition to UHD Android TV powered by artificial intelligence in the country. It is to be noted here that TCL is present across 160 countries and regions across the globe.

TCL India country manager Mike Chen, said, “India is home to a growing number of tech-savvy and digital users that demand more from the products that they use. Driven to make life intelligent through our products ranges, we are going to launch a range of innovative and affordable home appliances for our Indian consumers.”

Chen added, “At TCL, it has been our endeavour to follow an India-first approach, as reflected in our brand promotion strategy or the launch of our first-ever factory plant in India. We are affirmative that our latest range of products will resonate with the mature sensibilities of Indian users, providing them with smart home appliances that easily integrate the latest advancements in the field of artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, amongst others.”

It is believed that the likes of Rishabh Pant, Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer and Sandeep Lamichhane from Delhi Capitals IPL will be present at the launch. The China-based company had recently announced its partnership with Indian Premier League’s (IPL) Delhi Capitals as a sponsor

TCL has a manufacturing factory in Andhra Pradesh

Interestingly, TCL’s only manufacturing facility, located out of China is in India. The company had announced the inauguration of its panel factory – TCL Industry Park in Tirupati in December 2018. The TCL industrial park is scheduled to commence production from the fourth quarter of 2019.

Tomson Li, Chairman and CEO of TCL Corporation had said, “India is a strategic market for TCL. Our investment in the semi-conductor business here is a significant milestone in our globalization plans. The project will strengthen our supply chain integration capabilities in India and in turn will benefit our local consumers, providing them with superior quality products at greater value.”

Company’s official statement read, “TCL products are now available in 3,000 outlets via more than 30 channel partners, including large offline retailers such as Croma, Reliance Digital, and Vijay Sales, as well as major regional distributors. Its online association with Amazon.in enables it to leverage the online retailer’s strong distribution network to seamlessly cater to the requirements of the digital-savvy Indian customers. In April 2018, TCL launched its online-centric smart brand iffalcon in partnership with Flipkart.
