The compact footprint and relative storage capacity, aesthetically appealing design and silent operation make the Qube ideal as a personal cooling device
Godrej Appliances, a leading player in India in home appliances segment, announced the launch of a portable cooling device for food and beverages (F&B) segment – Qube.
The new product is powered by an advanced thermoelectric technology that is a greener alternative to traditional cooling technology. Godrej is the first company to introduce this technology for the Indian market.
The new product is likely to add to the growth of the company’s refrigerator business that contributes nearly 57 per cent to its Rs. 4,300 crore revenue.
All the traditional cooling devices rely on the refrigerant-based cooling, while Qube is compressor-free and refrigerant-free. Instead, the device works on a thermoelectric chip. The new lifestyle product cools and does not freeze, means that it is a zero-frost product with no defrosting hassles.
Unique lifestyle product
Speaking about the development, Kamal Nandi, Business Head and Executive Vice-President, Godrej Appliances, said, “Ever since the launch of the first Indian refrigerator manufactured by us, 61 years ago, we have constantly been evolving to meet customer expectations becoming a popular choice in Indian households for frost-free and direct cool refrigerators.”
“With Qube, we bring yet another unique lifestyle product for our consumers, catering to their small cooling needs, powered by the disruptive advanced solid state electronic cooling green technology making it a hallmark of sustainability as well,” he added.
A few months ago, the new product was piloted in several states of India for hospitality sector. Based on the feedback received, the brand entered into the business-to-consumer (B2C) segment via trade channels.
Ideal for small spaces
Qube is specifically designed for the small cooling requirements of people. The compact footprint and relative storage capacity, aesthetically appealing design and silent operation make the product ideal as a personal cooling device that can suit the needs of various living and work spaces, including bedrooms, shops, offices, hostels hotels and guest houses.
Easy to maintain and service, the latest cooling device is equipped with various features such as LED-lit interiors, stabiliser-free operation, a magnetic auto-door closure system and is compatible with home inverters.
Godrej is offering the Qube in two colours variants including black and metallic grey. The price range of the product starts from Rs 6,999.
