Blaupunkt Launches New Smart TV 4K Palladium Series in India

Germany based company Blaupunkt has launched 4K Palladium Series Ultra HD Smart LED televisions in India. The company plans to sell this new TV through eCommerce giant Flipkart during the Flipkart big billion day sale starting from Rs19,999.

Shift from conventional TV sets to smart TV sets

Smart TV market in India, as per a report by Research and Markets, is expected to grow at a CAGR of 30.2 per cent during 2018-24. Households in India are at a cusp of transition and a shift in preference has been witnessed from conventional TV sets to smart TV sets.

Changing lifestyle of middle-income population is attributed to rise in income level, increasing awareness, adoption of new technology and increasing internet penetration. Additionally, government initiatives primarily in tier-II and tier-III cities are some of the key factors which are likely to bolster the growth of Indian smart TV market during the forecast period.

 The TV will allow unlimited content from preloaded apps

The company says that the newly launched TVs are available in 109 cm (43”) at Rs 19,999, 124 cm (49”) at Rs 22,999, 127 (50”) at Rs 25,999 and 140 cm (55”) with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixel. The televisions are equipped with Cortex-A53 quad core 1.5GHz processor with 1 GB RAM according to the company. The official statement from the company said that TV comes with a premium metallic frame which no other brand offers at this price segment.

The TVs also come with gaming feature which will enable users to play games on the television. The company said that the television provides wireless connectivity allowing fast and reliable streaming without cables. The android based TV will allow unlimited content from preloaded apps like Netfix, Hotstar, Prime Video and Youtube directly from the home screen said the company. One can also  mirror the smartphone’s screen on the screen of the TV by using the Blaupunkt’s smart series miracasting feature.
