Kodak Launches 50 and 43-inch Smart TVs in India

Kodak brand license is owned by SPPL in the country. Led by Avneet Singh Marwah, SPPL, also manufactures and retails Thomson TVs in India

Kodak has announced the launch of 43FHDXPRO and 50FHDXPRO smart TVs in India. Super Plastronics Pvt Ltd., the brand license owner of Kodak and Thomson in India, said that it will be retailing these TVs exclusively through Flipkart e-commerce portal.

Avneet Singh Marwah, director and CEO, SPPL said, “We embrace change and have always been innovating to bring a different experience to our customers. Recently we added Kodak XPRO TVs to our family of TV products so customers can experience big screen TVs with affordable prices.”

The company is retailing these TVs at prices of Rs 20,999 and Rs 24,999 respectively. The 50-inch variant from Kodak has now become one of the most affordable ones in India.

Powered by Cortex processors

Kodak 43FHDXPRO and 50FHDXPRO TVs are equipped with Cortex CA53 Quad Core and Cortex CA53 dual Core processors, respectively. The TVs also features one GB RAM and up to eight GB ROM.

SPPL’s official statement read, “The 43-inch FHD variant comes with a resolution of 1920 x 1080pixels with display size of 108cm while the 50-inch FHD variant comes with the same resolution and a display size of 124 cm. These latest offerings are loaded with impressive features such as WIFI connectivity, LAN connectivity, Web browsing and MIRACAST.”

It contiued, “With the previous launches of Kodak-branded televisions under HD, FHD and UHD series, today’s announcement of the newly launched Kodak XPRO TV series has further strengthened SPPL’s commitment to address the needs of their customers to ensure that advanced technology reaches Indian customers at affordable prices.”
