Nokia is all set to enter the smart TV segment in India. Flipkart will sell Nokia-branded Smart TVs in the country. The Indian e-commerce company has entered into a strategic partnership with Nokia to launch a Smart TV in India.

“We are delighted that Flipkart, the leading e-commerce company in the country, will bring the first-ever Nokia branded Smart TVs to India. Today marks the start of an exciting new chapter for the Nokia brand in a new category,” said Vipul Mehrotra, vice president, Nokia Brand Partnerships.

He added, “Flipkart’s understanding of the needs and behaviors of Indian consumers, and the power of its reach will help it make Nokia branded Smart TVs accessible and affordable to many.”

Under this strategic partnership, Flipkart will manage the end-to-end go-to-market strategy for Nokia branded Smart TVs. Recently, Motorola also launched its range of Smart TVs in India that were made by Flipkart.

First to feature JBL’s new sound system

As per the company, Nokia Smart TV will be loaded with a new JBL sound programme. The upcoming Smart TV will be the first to feature JBL’s new sound system. Also, with this, JBL will also enter into the TV segment with its audio solutions.
