Panasonic, under its online consumer electronics brand Sanyo, has launched two new smart TVs in India. Dubbed Nebula Series, these two variants include a 32-inch and a 43-inch variant. Panasonic has priced the 32-inch variant at Rs 12,999 and the 43-inch variant at a price tag of Rs 22,999.
Interestingly, Sanyo had recently forayed into the air-conditioners market in India as well. It seems as if Panasonic is getting very serious about the rising popularity of online channel in India.
Pankaj Rana, business chief, Sanyo, Panasonic India, said, “Sanyo is committed to making technology accessible to all, and enhancing the viewing experience. With this vision, we are delighted to introduce the Smart LED TV’s under our Nebula series. Both the TVs will be available on Amazon with easy financing options. With Netflix, YouTube, IPS technology display and superior speakers, Sanyo Smart TVs are a perfect fit for viewers in today’s time. With this launch, we further strengthen our commitment to provide high quality, value for money products to our Indian consumers.”
The price points that Sanyo has launched these TVs at, may prove to be the biggest USPs of these TVs. At prices of Rs 12,999 and Rs 22,999, these 32-inch and 43-inch smart TVs will directly compete against the likes of Xiaomi, Vu, Kodak and Thomson TVs in the country.
It is worth mentioning here that most of these brands are retailing 32-inch and 43-inch TV models at almost similar price points. JVC, a brand license owned by Viera Group, has also recently launched six new LED TVs in India. Among the six models launched in 24, 32 and 39-inch variants, JVC has priced the 32-inch variant at Rs 11,999.
