Vu Announces 4K Technology TV Series in Indian Market

Vu had last launched a 100-inch TV in India. Samsung has also launched its 4K TVs in India recently

Vu has launched 43-inch (103 cm), 50-inch (127 cm), 55-inch (139.7 cm) and 65-inch (165.1 cm) 4K smart TVs in India. The advertisement banners for the same are already running on Flipkart e-commerce portal.

Though the company has not announced the TV prices officially, Flipkart’s website reveals the MRP of 43-inch TV as Rs 30,999, 50-inch TV as 36,999, 55-inch TV as Rs 41,999 and 65-inch TV as Rs 64,999. However, the TVs are being retailed for discounted prices on the portal at the moment.

Interestingly, Samsung had also recently announced the launch of its online exclusive TV range in India. Samsung’s TVs, just like Vu TVs, also feature 4K technology.

It seems as if both the companies are trying to target users who consume online content on TVs. The trend of apps facilitating online videos is on a rise in India. Vu had last launched a 100-inch TV in the country.

Vu premium Android 4K TV line-up features

The TVs, as per the company website, support 4K videos, HDR10, Dolby Vision and Audio and Dbx-tv sound entertainment technologies. All the variants are based on Android 8.0 OS and support Google Assistant and Google Play. These TVs offer a resolution of 3840 X 2160 pixels.

The company is claiming that display panels equipped on these TVs are of A+ quality. Vu has equipped each of these with three HDMI and two USB ports. The 40-inch TV comes mated with a 20 W speaker while the 50 and 55-inch TVs are coupled with 24 W speakers. Vu 65-inch 4K smart TV is coupled with a 30 W speaker.

Vu is also shipping a voice remote with all the TVs in the line-up. Company’s website claims that these voice remotes can be used to access TV and other smart devices directly. The TVs also support access to Playstore, Google Games, Google Movies, Youtube, Hotstar, Sonyliv, Eros Now and Zee 5.
