Xiaomi has launched four new models of smart TVs, a water purifier and Mi smart band 4 in India today. The China-based company is now present in water purifiers as well as 4K TV consumer electronics vertical in the country now.
One of Manu Kumar Jain, Xiaomi’s global VP’s tweets read, “Did you know? The Xiaomi ecosystem consists of: 200+ ecosystem companies, 10K+ engineers, 196M+ activated Mi devices globally, and 3M+ users with 5 or more Xiaomi devices! This is what makes us the world’s leading IoT platform!”
Now present in water purifiers market
Though the company had indicated that it was gearing to launch a water purifier in India long time back, the confirmation came when Xiaomi launched a water TDS tester a few weeks ago. Xiaomi has now entered the water purifier market with a smart water purifier prices Rs 11,999. The company will be organising first sale of this water purifier on 29 September 2019.

Xiaomi’s portfolio now includes 4K TVs
Xiaomi has also launched four new TV models in India. All of these feature 4K displays and smart capabilities. Xiaomi has launched, 65-inch, 50-inch, 43-inch and 40-inch TVs at prices of Rs 54,999, Rs 29,999, Rs 24,999 and Rs 17,999 respectively. Interestingly Motorola has also launched smart TVs in India recently. Oneplus is also gearing to launch a 55-inch TV in India.
The smart TV market in India is expected to surpass the normal TVs market soon. Like Xiaomi, there are a lot of other brands that do not sell normal TVs in India. Xiaomi from the beginning has only been selling smart TVs here.
