Honor has launched the Band 5i fitness tracker in China. It has priced the tracker at CNY 159 (Rs 1,600 approx) and it will sell it in meteorite black, coral powder and olive-green colour options.
The tracker comes with a USB plug-in and charge design, a coloured display panel, and a capacitive button for navigation as per Honor. It is also equipped with a heart rate monitor, sleep tracking features and is also 5ATM water resistant. Honor says the battery life of the tracker lasts seven to nine days.
No need for additional charger
As the tracker can plug into a USB port and charge itself, it is likely to eliminate the problem of carrying an additional charger as per Honor. The band pairs with most phones running on Android 4.4 and above,or iOS 9.0 and above.
The band has a 2.43 cm (0.96-inch) coloured touchscreen display with a resolution of 160 x 80 pixels. It has a 91mAh battery and takes approximately 1.5 hours to fully charge.
Optical heart rate sensor
It also has a three-axis inertial sensor, optical heart rate sensor, and infrared light wearing detection sensor. On the connectivity side, it supports Bluetooth v4.2 support, and 5ATM water resistance certification. It has nine sports modes and weighs 24 grams with the wristband.
