The company has plans to launch its second smartwatch by July 2019 in India. Riversong is also adding partners in its sales network in the country
Riversong, a subsidiary of the mobile phone developer- IMG Technology Group, has launched its first smart watch named Motive in India. Motive is a rectangular shaped smartwatch and is compatible with Android and iOS.
Manvendra Chandola, CEO Riversong, India said, “We are extremely delighted to announce the launch of the brand’s first ever smart watch, Motive. We have a dedicated R&D team which has helped us in understanding the market and the consumer requirement. It is our constant endeavor to provide our patrons with nothing but the best.”
Price and availability
The company has priced it at Rs 5999 in the country. However, as a part of an introductory offer, it is currently retailing the same at a price of Rs 3999.
Manvendra Chandola told Electronics For You that Riversong’s first smartwatch is available across 1000 retailers in the country. The company is also planning to add more partners in its distribution network. Riversong may also launch a circular shaped smartwatch in July 2019 in India.
He said, “Motive is everything that one would want in their ideal smart watch as it is compatible with both android and iOS phones. It’s sleek, comfortable, sturdy and is especially designed for the tech savvy youth of today, who always look for an X-factor in their gadgets.”
Riversong Motive features
The watch comes with 1.33-inch colored screen and features a 2.5D tempered glass lens. The smart watch, as per Riversong, monitors 24-hour real-time changes in the heart rate which assists in the adequate amount of exercise according to the heart rate curve.
Riversong’s official statement read, “It notifies the user about incoming calls, messages, emails etc., thus making their lives easier and faster while on the go. Motive has an in-built multiple sports mode like walking, bicycling, roping, skipping, basketball to name a few. The smart watch is IP67 water resistant and sweat-proof and can stay up to 10 min in 1 meter depth of water. The customization friendly bands feature comes in handy and the watch can be paired up with any attire.”
This latest smartwatch comes equipped with a 180 mAh battery. Riversong said that the battery on one complete charge can last for seven to 10 days time.
