- Riversong had entered the smart watch market in India last year

Riversong has announced the launch of Motive+ smart watch in India. Dubbed as the successor to its first smart watch here, the company is retailing it for a price of Rs 3,499. However, as Riversong informed, the watch will be retailed for Rs 4,999, once the introductory offer is over.
“We received an overwhelming response for Motive in India which encouraged us to come up with another smart watch with better features and configuration. With Motive+, we wanted to give our users the same robust smart watch they loved, with added upgrades and refinements. Hence, the ‘plus’,” stated Manvendra K Chandola, CEO Riversong India.
The company, which had entered India in 2017, had around 108 micro-distributors for its products in September 2019. Chandola, at that time, had told EFY Group that Riversong’s primary target was to be present in every Indian state through the offline channel.
He had said, “We are currently present in 18 states and our target is to create PAN India presence by the end of October 2019. With the increasing awareness and the growing purchasing capacity of the masses, India as a market has an immense potential for growth of the technology sector. Our aim is to reach every nook and corner of the country through the rapid expansion plans we have.”
Completely touch screen
The upgraded version of the smart watch Motive, as Riversong informed, Motive+ is designed around a display panel that is completely touch screen. It comes with a 1.33-inch IPS display. The smart watch consists of 24-hour real-time heart rate monitoring.
“It notifies the user about incoming calls, messages, emails etc., keeping one always connected and on the go. Motive+ has an in-built multiple sports mode which tracks activity data according to the user’s choice of activity. The smart watch is compatible with both android and iOS mobile operating systems,” read Riversong’s official statement.
