Apple has launched smart battery cases for its iPhone 11 series. It will be selling the newly launched product at a price of $129 (approx Rs 9200) for iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max in black, white and pink sand colours. The company will be making the cases available in the US and there is no information yet on whether it will be made available in India
The smart battery case comes with a microfibre lining that the company which protects the iPhones as per Apple. The outside of the silicone case comes with a soft-touch finish and has a camera button for the iPhone 11 series. Once the user clicks on this button, it will open the camera app even if the phone is locked. A quick press will click the photo and a longer press will capture QuickTake video.
Qi-certified chargers for wireless charging
The cases are compatible with Qi-certified chargers for wireless charging. The company claims that the user can charge the iPhone and the battery cases simultaneously. It is also compatible with USB-PD ( Power delivery ) charger and support Lightning accessories such as EarPods. When the user attaches the cases, it shows the battery status on the iPhone lock screen and notification centre.
