LG has launched LG G8s ThinQ smartphones in India. The company will sell these new phones for Rs 36,990 across retail outlets. The company had introduced this new phone at the Mobile World Congress earlier this year.
The company recently said that it is expecting to garner a revenue of Rs 2,000 crore from its B2B (business-to-business) segment in India in FY20. LG ended FY19 with a revenue of Rs 1,500 crore and is looking at a 30 percent growth this fiscal, said Hemendu Sinha, vice-president & business head, B2B, LG Electronics India.
Tie-up with Nvidia
LG Electronics (LG) has recently joined hands with Nvidia in order to add support for Nvidia G-SYNC compatibility to its 2019 OLED TVs (model 65/55E9, model 77/65/55C9). LG has also launched its 8K organic light-emitting diode (OLED) and 8K NanoCell TVs in Europe and North America.
Brian Kwon, president of the Mobile Communications and Home Entertainment companies at LG said, “The new 8K TVs show that LG is deeply committed to providing consumers with real 8K as defined by established display industry standards.”
Powered by Snapdragon 855 chipset
The phone comes with a 6.2-inch OLED FHD+ display with a resolution of 1080 x 2248 pixels and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by Snapdragon 855 chipset paired with six GB RAM and 128 GB of internal storage according to the company. The phone also has a triple camera configuration at the back with a combination of 12-megapixel primary sensor, a 13-megapixel wide-angle sensor, and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens. The front camera has an 8-megapixel lens with a 3D ToF sensor for 3D face unlock and selfies according to the company.
The company says that the phone comes equipped with a 3,550mAh battery with quick charge 3.0 support. The device additionally comes with Air Motion feature for air gestures. It weighs in at 181 grams and measures at 155.3 x 76.6 x 7.99mm.
