The China-based company is retailing Realme 3 at a starting price of Rs 8,999 in India. Madhav Sheth, Realme’s India CEO said that Realme 3 Pro will be launched in April 2019
Realme is all set to compete against the latest smartphone offerings from the likes of Samsung and Xiaomi in India. The company has launched Realme 3 smartphone in two variants – 3GB RAM and 32 GB ROM, and 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM. Realme has announced an open sale for both the variants on 12 March 2019.
Madhav Sheth, CEO, Realme India, tweeted, “Welcome Realme 3 with the next generation 3D unibody gradient design, best in class 13+2MP f/1.8 camera with Nightscape & the powerful energy efficient 12nm Helio P70 processor. The starry experience starts at Rs 8,999 on Flipkart at 12 noon, 12th March.”
Interestingly, Xiaomi and Samsung had recently launched Note 7 and M20 smartphones in India. Realme 3 will be competing against these smartphones in the country.
Realme 3 specifications
This latest smartphone from Realme comes in two variants. The company is projecting it as a device that is perfect for gaming and clicking photographs.
One of Sheth’s tweet read, “The Realme 3 with Nightscape mode leads in low light photography at its price segment.”
It comes equipped with three slots for sim cards and external SD card. Realme 3 comes powered by a 4230 mAh battery and is coupled with Helio P70 processor. Realme’s India website claims that its newly launched screen battery optimisation increases battery life by up to 10 per cent.
It features a dual camera setup on the rear. This camera setup consists of a 13 MP and a 2 MP lenses. Sheth tweeted, “No more editing needed, Chroma Boost mode on Realme 3 makes all your pictures social media worthy.”
The company has equipped it with a 13 MP camera sensor at front and a 6.22-inch (15.8cm) display screen. It also features fingerprint sensor and face unlock features.
