Samsung has launched the much-anticipated Galaxy Fold smartphone in India. The company has made the phone available for pre booking at a price of Rs 1,64,999 online on its online store, Samsung shops and offline stores in 35 cities across 315 outlets. Pre-bookings for Galaxy Fold in India start on fourth October and deliveries will begin on 20 October according to Samsung.
The phone had run into some issues and was originally slated to launch in April of this year. The crease on the display and the screen protector were making the phone malfunction. According to the company, the phone has undergone some changes in the hardware to overcome the issues it was previously facing. The phone has already hit the US market on 27 October.
Galaxy Fold has a 12GB of RAM and 512GB internal storage
According to Samsung, Galaxy Fold has two screens, a 4.6-inch HD+ Super AMOLED (21:9) cover display on the front with 840×1960 pixels resolution and a 7.3-inch QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED tablet screen with 4.2:3 aspect ratio when the phone is unfolded with 1536×2152 pixels resolution. The phone has a 12GB of RAM and 512GB internal storage and Samsung is selling the phone in premium cosmos colour.
Galaxy Fold is equipped with six cameras on the phone including three on the back when folded in phone mode, one in front in phone mode and two inside in tablet mode. Samsung says that the phone has two batteries on two sides which give total battery of 4,380mAh.
Fold comes with 6 cameras
For the camera, the phone is equipped with a triple camera module at the back of the phone with a combination of a 16-megapixel ultra-wide camera with an f/2.2 aperture, a 12-megapixel wide-angle camera, with Dual Pixel AF, OIS, and variable f/1.5 to f/2.4 aperture; and a 12-megapixel telephoto camera with PDAF, OIS, an f/2.4 aperture, and 2X optical zoom.
For the front, there is dual camera with a combination of a 10-megapixel f/2.2 primary sensor and an 8-megapixel RBG depth camera with an f/1.9 aperture. The cover camera is a 10-megapixel selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture.

Samsung is offering a Galaxy fold premier service for the Galaxy Fold. It is providing a dedicated helpline that will have expert customer care executives on call 24×7. The smartphone maker is also providing a one year infinity flex display protection which will include accidental damage coverage with one-time protection, genuine parts, expert repair service and Galaxy Fold’s display. Samsung Finance+ launched
Samsung recently launched Samsung Finance+ in India. The company said that the move has been taken to make Samsung Galaxy smartphones buying easy and simple for consumers. Samsung is launching Samsung Finance+ at over 5,000 stores in 30 cities across the country. Samsung plans to reach to 10,000 outlets in 100 cities by the end of 2019.
