Vivo Launches New Variant of Z1X with 8GB RAM in India

Vivo Z1X

Vivo has launched a new variant of the Z1X in India. It will sell the new version of the phone at a price of Rs 21,990 through retail stores in the country from 16th October. The new variant comes with an 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage in fusion blue colour.

The company had earlier launched two other variants of the Vivo Z1X with 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage and 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. It had priced the 64GB internal storage at Rs 16,990 and the 128GB internal storage one at Rs 18,990.

In-display fingerprint sensor

The new Z1X comes with a 16.20 cm (6.38-inch) full HD+ Incell Super Amoled display with a screen resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 AIE processor with an Adreno 616 GPU. The phone also has an in-display fingerprint sensor. The memory of the phone can be expanded up to 256GB via microSD card slot. To attract more customers during the festive season, Vivo is offering a cashback of five per cent on the new Z1X with HDFC and ICICI bank till 31st October.

Invest Rs 7,500 crore over the next few years in India

In August this year, Vivo had said that it planned to  invest Rs 7,500 crore over the next few years to expand its production capacities in India. It also said that it has an aim of quadrupling quadruple its present local production capacity of 25 million phones a year, to more than 100 million devices, part of which could also be exported. Before this, the company had has already invested over Rs 400 crore into building manufacturing capacities in the country.

Vivo is owned by China based electronics company BBK Electronics. Realme, Oppo and OnePlus also function under BBK Electronics.
