Xiaomi Launches Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro in India

Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro in India. The company will sell the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage version of Note 8 at Rs 9,999 and the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant at Rs 12,999. It has priced the 6GB RAM and 64GB storage version of the Note 8 Pro for Rs 14, 999 and the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model for Rs 17,999.

The company will sell the newly launched smartphones from 21st October through online channel Amazon and its own website and Mi Home. Both the phones have quad cameras with the Redmi Note 8 equipped with a 48MP quad rear cameras and the Redmi Note 8 Pro equipped with 64MP quad rear cameras.

Manu Kumar Jain, managing director, Xiaomi India tweeted, “Here’s when you can get them.The all-new RedmiNote8Pro & RedmiNote8 will be available on 21st October at 12 noon on Mi’s website , amazonIN, & Mi Home. It will soon come to offline outlets too.”

Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset

The Redmi Note 8 comes with a 6.3-inch dot notch display with 90 percent screen-to-body ratio. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset. According to Xiaomi, its quad rear cameras consist of a 48MP primary sensor, 8-megapixel 120-degree ultra-wide lens, a 2-megapixel macro lens and a 2-megapixel depth camera sensor for portrait shots. On the front end, it has a 13MP camera for selfies with features like AI beautify, portrait mode and AI scene detection.

The smartphone comes with a 4,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging technology. The company claims that the speakers on the phone are 40 per cent louder.

Mediatek G90t gaming chipset

The Redmi Note 8 Pro comes with a 6.53-inch display with a 91.4 percent screen-to-body ratio. It has a 3D curved glass display and has a Mediatek G90t gaming chipset.

The quad cameras on the Redmi Note 8 Pro consist of a 64MP camera, while the other three cameras have the same specification as the Redmi Note 8. On the front, the phone has a 20MP selfie camera. The phone is powered by a 4,500mAh battery.
