Panasonic Launches 38 New Models of Washing Machines in India

Panasonic India today launched 38 new models in the washing machine segment, 23 new models in fully automatic and 15 new models in semi-automatic washing machines. The company said that these models feature eco-friendly solutions that save up to 28 per cent water consumption and up to 20 per cent electricity consumption.

Harshal Soman, business head, Home Appliances, Panasonic India, said, “Panasonic aims at manufacturing products that suit the evolving needs of a modern Indian family. This year, we are extending our home appliance range with an aim to bring the proprietary technologies to the homes of our consumers. The new range has been designed keeping in mind the comfort and convenience of our patrons and feature some peerless technologies to make the whole user experience seamless.”

Eyeing Diwali sales?

Interestingly, the festive season of Diwali is fast approaching in India. As a matter of fact, consumer electronics sales usually sky-rocket during this season in the country. These sales start from September and last till December every year.

The new range of semi-automatic washing machines comes in the capacity of seven kg up to 10.5 kg, and is priced in the range of Rs 11,600 and Rs 18,500. The new top load washing machine range is available in the capacity of 6.2 kg to eight kg and is priced between Rs 16,500 to Rs 33,200.

Water re-use technology

The 23 new models in the fully automatic top loading washing machines by Panasonic come equipped with StainMaster+ technology that allows individual wash programs. This latest Panasonic washing machine range boasts of flexible two way washing technology and comes with a built-in water heater that enables effortless washing by providing temperature control.

Panasonic’s official statement read, “With added features such as water re-use technology and white course, the new models ensure removal of dirt from deep inside the core of fabrics with minimal water consumption.”

Extending energy and water efficiency, the premium new models possess in-built eco-friendly solutions like Aqua Spin Rinse, that saves upto 28 per cent of water consumption and Econavi Technology which helps save 20 per cent water and upto 20 per cent electricity consumption and re-uses water upto 23 per cent by detecting wash load volume and water temperature.

Company’s official statement read, “With 15 new models in the semi- automatic washing machine segment, the new range is specially targeted at Tier II and III cities to extend hassle-free washing experience to customers. Addressing the needs of consumers in these markets, the base of the washing machine is made extra sturdy and strong to offer lasting durability. The range is powered by the Active Foam System, which generates rich foam to enhance the washing quality, cleaning clothes whilst maintaining the colours and textures. The range features New Facia with soft closing lid for convenience and elegance.”
