Voltbek Home Appliances Private Limited (Voltbek) has announced the launch of 5 Star rated washing machines in India. The company said that these are India’s first five star rated washing machines. The launched models include 21 models of Twin Tub semi-automatic washing machines and two models of front load washing machines.
Pradeep Bakshi, MD and CEO, Voltas Limited, said, “Our 5 star rated washing machines provide customers with superior wash quality with minimal water consumption, and are also available at very attractive prices. With this launch, Voltas Beko has reinforced its commitment to the environment by bringing the latest IoT enabled green technology to the Indian market.”
Voltas and Arcelik’s joint venture
Tata owned Voltas had announced a collaboration with Istanbul headquartered Arcelik last year. The company since then has been retailing Voltas as well as Voltas Beko branded consumer electronics in India. Voltas, in June 2018, had also announced that it had started working on Voltas Beko’s first manufacturing facility in India.
Noel Tata, Chairman, Voltas Limited, during the launch of Voltas Beko home appliances, had said, “This new venture allows us to offer a wide variety of globally renowned products in the Indian market. Arcelik is a market leader in Europe and is on the cutting edge of innovation in the consumer durable segment. Voltas has established its credentials as a market leader in the AC segment with wide distribution reach and has strong brand recall.
