Beyerdynamic has announced the launch of Soul Byrd wired earphones in India. Finished in a in-ear design, these headphones feature a three-button control and microphone.
The brand claims that Beyerdynamic Soul Byrd earphones offer a secure and snug fit that doesn’t protrude out of ears. These earphones, as per the brand, are made of anodised aluminium. Beyerdynamic claims that the cables used inside the earphones, are made of a material, that does not create tangles.
Price and competition
Beyerdynamic Soul Byrd earphones, priced at Rs 6,999 in the country make it in the list of most-expensive wired ear-phones in the country. These will be competing against the likes of 1More, Fiio, Sennheiser, Bose and Audio Technica.
All these brands are offering wired ear-phones in the same price categories in India. The brand will be selling Soul BYRD headphones bundled with five pairs of ear tips in XS, S, M, L and XL sizes.
Soul Byrd wired earphones features
Beyerdynamic Soul Byrd earphones feature 9 mm drivers. These drivers deliver a frequency response of 15 to 21,000 Hz and an impedance of 18 ohms. Weighing six grams these earphones come with a 3.5 mm headphone plug. The wire in the earphones stretches to a maximum of 1.2 meters.
The earphones are compatible with Android and iOS devices. Apart from the five different sized earbuds, the brand will be bundling these earphones with a hard case that can be used to store these. Beyerdynamic will be retailing these using Amazon and headphones zone website in India.
