Optiemus Infracom has launched the first Blackberry branded wireless charger in India. The charger, as per the company, is compatible with USB type C for Android, Apple and QI-compatible smartphones.
It is to be noted here that Optiemus had recently announced its collaboration with Blackberry. The company, under the partnership, retails Blackberry smartphones and accessories in India, Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri-Lanka.
Qi-enabled wireless chargers in India
Last two years have witnessed a flurry of Qi-enabled wireless charger launches in the country. Tech-giants including the likes of Samsung, Apple and Nokia, have all launched their Qi-wireless chargers. Additionally, mobile accessorizes’ brands like Portronics, Noise, Ptron and Belkin are also retailing Qi-chargers in the country.
Interestingly, Optiemus has announced this Blackberry Qi wireless charger at Rs 2,499. The likes of Portronics, Ptron, Noise and Belkin are offering these under Rs 1,500 price tags in the country. Optiemus said that it will be retailing the same exclusively through Amazon India.
Blackberry Qi wireless charger features
The company is claiming that this charger has the capability to charge up to 25 per cent battery in 60 minutes times. It is compatible with USB type C Android devices, Apple products and all other Qi-compatible smartphones.
Optiemus has equipped it with a LED light indicator that informs about the status of charging. The company has announced a six-months warranty with the same. It weighs 54.4 grams and measures 0.8 x 0.1 x 0.9 cm.
