Zaap has announced the launch of a new wireless Bluetooth speaker in India. Christened ‘Aqua Darkstar’, this latest Zaap Blutetooth speaker is priced at Rs 2,749 in the country. The brand will be retailing it from Amazon, Snapdeal, Zaaptech website and selected retail stores.
An official statement released by the company read, “Aqua Darkstar is a next-generation Bluetooth speaker developed and designed by Zaap. The Bluetooth speaker has an International rating of IPX -5 which protect it against Water, Shock, Snow and Dust. The Speaker also boasts of a premium rubberized rugged exterior which adds to its design and enhances its built. This makes the Bluetooth Speaker a perfect fit for outdoor parties, showers, pool sides, group camping & other rugged activities.”
Price Wars
The Zaap Aqua Darkstar Bluetooth speaker will be competing against the likes of Tagg Loop, Photron P10 Wash, Boat Rugby and Sound One Beast portable Bluetooth speakers in the country. Most of these are priced upwards of Rs 2,000 on various e-commerce marketplaces and offline retail stores.
Zaap Aqua Star portable Bluetooth speaker features
Aqua Darkstar houses 10 Watts (5W x 2) drivers that, as per the brand, deliver a full 360 degree high definition sound quality. It also comes equipped with a passive sub-woofer for bass and sound.
The company has fitted the Aqua Darkstar with a 2600 mAh Lithium-ion rechargeable battery which takes six to seven hours to charge completely. Zaap is promising a playback time of up to 15 hours on a single charge.
Zaap said that Aqua Darkstar is compatible with iOS, Android and Windows devices. The 4.0 Bluetooth technology, as per the company, consumes less energy and has a 33 feet long distance range.
Aqua Darkstar also allows users to accept or reject phone calls, change tracks or adjust volume, all with the help of its built-in microphone. It also has a LED Indicator which tells the user about the battery status and connectivity. It comes with a micro USB charging cable, 3.5 MM Aux-in cable, and a 12-Month Warranty card.
Zaap operates in USA, Germany and India.
