Amitabh Tiwari has been promoted to the CEO designation by Jaina India Private Limited. He has been working with Jaina group since May 2019. Jaina Group is known for Karbonn Mobiles in India.
The group had recently acquired Sansui’s brand license as well. As a matter of fact, Sansui had recently announced the launch of its new product portfolio in the country.
The group had shared plans to invest Rs 1,000 crores in India operations during the next three years. It is eyeing a turnover of Rs 3500 crore for the Sansui brand in India by Financial Year(FY) 2022.
Marketing executive in 1990
Amitabh Tiwari has worked with the likes of Samsung, LG, Toshiba and Skyworth consumer electronics companies in the past. He started his career in the consumer electronics domain in 1990 as a marketing executive with Onida.
He then moved to LG India as a branch head cum product manager in 1997. Amitabh Tiwari was taking care of the microwave ovens and direct-cool-refrigerators products category at LG India for five years.
In December 2002, he moved to Samsung India as company’s product head for refrigerators vertical. His work profile at Samsung included product management including product road map, pricing, product marketing including ATL, BTL promotions and display. He was also responsible for management of Samsung’s distribution channel’s for refrigerator’s vertical here.
Joined LG again
Amitabh Tiwari then joined LG India again as product head of LG India’s home entertainment division in 2005. He was promoted to the designation of business head for LG’s home entertainment and modern trade business in August 2005. Amitabh Tiwari was promoted at LG two more times- as head of sales in January 2010 and as head of business excellence in January 2013.
His smallest career stint was with Toshiba. It lasted for four months starting August 2013 and ending June 2013. Before joining Jaina Group in May this year, he worked with Skyworth as its CEO for a year and a half, and with KAIL India as its COO. Interestingly, KAIL India used to handle Sansui and Kelvinator at that time.
