Consumer Electronics Industry Veteran to lead Philips Personal Health Vertical in India


Gulbahar Taurani, a veteran in the consumer durables industry, will be succeeding A.D.A Ratnam as President, Philips Personal Health in India

Royal Philips has elevated Gulbahar Taurani, a veteran in the consumer durables industry, to succeed A.D.A Ratnam as President, Philips Personal Health in India. Gulbahar, 44, brings a wealth of experience in electronics, domestic appliances and telecom. Gulbaar has been working with Philips from last 15 years.

Daniel Mazon, vice chairman and MD, Philips Indian Subcontinent, said, “I am delighted to see Gulbahar taking on the role of Business Head for Personal Health in India, building on the strong legacy left by Ratnam. 15 years with Philips

In his 15 years with Philips, Gulbahar has led large teams across functions and businesses. In his most recent role as marketing director, Personal Health India, he was instrumental in driving deeper consumer connect, increasing brand awareness, innovation and operational excellence for all businesses in Personal Health.

It is to be noted here that Gulbahar started his professional career as a management trainee with Videocon Consumer Durables in April 2001. He then joined Idea as a sales manger in June 2006, before moving on to work with Philips as a branch manager in the consumer lifestyle vertical.
