Manu Kumar Jain, global VP, Xiaomi, would now onwards be playing a critical role in Xiaomi entry into global markets. A recent report published by the Economic Times also stated he will also be playing an important role in finalising which all new categories should Xiaomi foray into.
These developments, as per the report, have already been announced internally at the Xiaomi offices. The change or shift of roles is effective this month onwards.
Manu Kumar Jain has been the face of Xiaomi in India
Manu Kumar Jain has been working with Xiaomi from last five years and nine months. The Economic Times report has mentioned of him as the poster boy of India’s smartphone industry. He has been one of the most active MDs on various social media handles. Whether, it has been a smartphone launch, or Xiaomi’s entry into new categories, Manu Kumar Jain has been one of the center points of the same.
He usually tweets about the product launches and offers on existing products. It is to be noted here that over his account is followed by over 2,62,000 accounts.
Muralikishan B, COO, Xiaomi India, is followed by around 3,700 account on Twitter. Interestingly, both Manu Kumar Jain and Muralikishan B have been associated with Jabong in the past.
The company had recently announced it has sold around 12.5 million devices in India during Diwali 2019. Interestingly, Xiaomi now has over 2500 single brand stores in the offline channel in India. The company also informed recently that it had sold one million devices in the offline channel.
