Panasonic has appointed Shirish Agarwal as its new brand, marketing and communications head. Agarwal, as per the company would be responsible for devising marketing strategies for products and services of Panasonic in India.
Manish Sharma, president and CEO, India and South Asia, Panasonic India, said, “We are delighted to welcome Shirish Agarwal at an opportune time when we are moving towards being a technology company that offers complete solutions for consumers and businesses alike.”
Two MBA degrees
Interestingly, Shirish Agarwal holds two MBA degrees. He had done MBA in advertising and communication from EMPI Business School in 2002-2004 and MBA in marketing from Sungkyunkwan University in 2013- 2015.
Shirish Agarwal, Panasonic’s new marketing head was working with Samsung India Electronics before joining Panasonic earlier this month.
In fact he was associated with Samsung for last 10 years. Prior to Samsung, he was working with Hewlett Packard India as a marcom specialist.Agarwal has also worked with Times Internet for more than a year.
